Completed a full dryer vent system cleanout, removing built-up lint and restoring proper airflow throughout the system. During inspection, inefficiencies were identified in the original duct routing, contributing to back pressure and reduced dryer performance.
The ductwork was rerouted to create a more direct, efficient path to the termination point, reducing overall equivalent length and improving airflow. The existing roof jack was replaced with a code-compliant dryer roof jack designed to meet IRC requirements for proper exhaust and lint discharge.
All connections were properly secured and sealed to ensure system integrity and long-term performance. Upon completion, the system showed significantly improved airflow, increased efficiency, and reduced fire risk.
This project brought the entire system into full code compliance while optimizing overall dryer performance.
